SECRETARÍA DE MOVILIDAD REALIZA LABORES DESCENTRALIZADAS

• Hay dos puntos de atención para los dueños de motocicletas que necesiten realizar trámites: Coral Palace primer piso y Parque Manowar

• La Secretaría de Movilidad también programó jornadas de atención exclusivas para propietarios de motocicletas los días lunes, miércoles y viernes entre 8:30 y 9:30 a.m. y 2:30 y 3:30 p.m.

La Secretaría de Movilidad inició esta semana su jornada descentralizada a las afueras del Edificio Coral Palace, con el objetivo de agilizar el registro inicial de las motocicletas que circulan en las vías del Departamento sin placa de identificación y sin licencia de tránsito del vehículo.

Esta actividad se desarrolla en conjunto con la dirección de tránsito de la Policía Nacional de San Andrés y cumple con el propósito que estableció la Gobernadora (E) Tonney Gene Salazar en una hoja de ruta que se formuló la semana anterior, luego de verificar cuales eran los mayores problemas en la isla en temas de tránsito y movilidad, identificando la falta de placas como el mayor inconveniente.

Para la primera jornada de 10 que se van a realizar, se logró atender a 25 usuarios, logrando entregar una placa, realizar dos migraciones exitosas en el RUNT, hacer un duplicado de placa, uno de licencia de tránsito y la pre-asignación de 18 placas nuevas.

Con los resultados anteriores se espera que, en un periodo no mayor a ocho días, estas personas que lograron hacer su registro inicial puedan obtener su placa y de esa manera ir disminuyendo la cantidad de vehículos tipo motocicleta que transitan en las calles del territorio insular sin placa.

In order to cultivate and continue providing excellent attention to tourists visiting the Archipelago, the Departmental Government together with the National Police began a series of trainings for agents to create the ‘Special Tourist Unit’.

During this pedagogical initiative, which aims to develop tourism activities, directed at the prevention and education of national and foreign tourists, the Administration intends that the Department be the first in all of Colombia to have a Tourism Police.

“It is a comprehensive training. San Andres and Providence have factors that differentiate them from other places in the country and as such, people must be trained so that they can attend tourists and situations in this territory. In other words, this activity is of great importance, a great victory and achievement to be able to form and train a Special Tourist Police Unit,” said Yadira Olivo Florez, Secretary of Tourism.

More than 300 members of the National Police in the Department are part of the strategy, which reinforces issues such as the Raizal Culture, characteristic places, language, history, traditions, and the importance of environmental care, good waste management, water care and much more.

According to Olivo Florez, this initiative contributes to the strengthening of the destination.

“We are looking for San Andres to be recognized as a tourist destination par excellence and we need to cover all fronts. The attention and help given to tourists is essential for our development,” said the secretary.

The training is carried out by experienced personnel of the entity, brought from Bogota, who share their experiences and strategies for the development of tourism activities.

The trainings are carried out at the auditorium of the National Police in the Department. The second cycle will take place from October 1 to October 6 and the last one will begin from October7 to October 12 of the same month.
