Water and sanitation, healthy environment, climate change, air and noise and chemical safety are the issues that are being targeted by the present administration.
For this reason, delegates of the Ministry of Health, the Secretary of Public Services and Environment, the Secretary of Health, Coralina and other entities attended the Territorial Council of Environmental Health COTSA, for its conformation and creation of different technical working sessions.
The main objective of this Territorial Council of Environmental Health is to advance in an articulated way in each of the environmental issue to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of the archipelago.

The community of the Tablitas and César Gaviria neighborhood was surprised this morning by a group of workers of the MECO company – in charge of the runway works of the Gustavo Rojas Pinilla airport -, who carried out the repair works of the main entrance to the sector.
Thanks to the management done by Governor Ronald Housni to the multinational company, around five hundred families will benefit with this work allowing transportation entry in this rainy season to the inside of the neighborhood where access to the houses were difficult.

The discussion led by the Ministry of Interior on the importance of the Plebiscite and the Final Agreement for the termination of the armed conflict and the construction of a stable and lasting peace was successful.
Media, community leaders and people interested in knowing details of the negotiation process with the FARC guerillas and the concluded agreements with the guerilla attended the meeting. In general, advisors of the Ministry did an historical overview of the conflict and actions which led to the agreements Colombians should approve through the polls on 2 October.

The Cesar Gaviria-Tablitas neighborhood was the setting of a recreational exercise of oral and narrative construction within the agreement developed by the Secretary of Social Development, the Caja de Compensación Familiar de San Andres y Providencia and the CDI Foundation.
The exercises were developed at the sports center and the communal meeting hall of the neighborhood and were attended by public servers of the Secretary of Social Development and directives of the Community Action Board of the neighborhood led by Mrs. Margarita Coneo.

After seven months of the closure of the East South East Cay, Governor Ronald Housni Jaller met with tour operators of San Andres to inform on the progress of the commitments made by the government and other entities with direct impact on tourist activities carried out at the cay, without appropriate care.
“Unfortunately we get to this situation because natural resources are not taken care of. The closure was motivated by the Environmental Office and Coralina. This situation forced us to do a carrying capacity study that would allow us to determine an operations plan that provides a quality service to tourist without affecting the ecosystems present at the East South East Cay”.

• Movements requested flexible access to polling stations.
In the framework of the Electoral Monitoring Commission meeting on Wednesday, 14 October, 588 electoral juries were selected to attend 98 polling stations where the Plebiscite for Peace Election Day will take place on 2 October.
The meeting was held at the Coral Palace and was attended, in addition to Governor Ronald Housni, the Departmental Secretary of Government and Planning, delegates of the National Registry Office, the Regional Procurator, the Regional Ombudswoman, Military and Police Commanders and representatives of political parties and movements who will promote Yes or No, during the Election Day.
Gustavo Hernández Pomare, delegate registrar submitted to the departmental government the logistics needs for the development of the Election Day, and signed Resolution 003 of 14 September containing the list of the electoral juries that will attend the electoral process.
