The Departmental Secretariat of Government is informing the community in general that the event called "Carnival Motorcade," organized by individuals, which is scheduled for today, does NOT have the authorization from this Administration, and according to what is stipulated in the Police Code, it is forbidden.
 
Such convocation lacks authorization and approval from the Secretariat of Mobility, The National Police and CREPAD. As a result, the authorities will exercise full control in all avenues and will exemplarily punish those who commit actions that undermine tranquility and public safety.

•    Typical dances, traditional gastronomy, music with local artists and horse racing, are part of the gigantic cultural program taking place November 30th.


The Departmental Governor, Ronald Housni Jaller, through Decree 0583 of November 14th, 2017, declared next Thursday, November 30th, a Local Holiday; date on which the traditional festivities of the Archipelago of San Andres, Providence and Kethleena, will be celebrated.

"As a result, public and private entities, as well as the community in general of San Andres, are invited to participate actively in the cultural, sporting and gastronomic activities to be carried out during the aforementioned date.

During the Local Holiday Celebrations, there will be a Great Musical Concert starting from 11:00 a.m. with local artists at the pedestrian pathway across from El Dorado Hotel.

Bearing in mind that the Ministry of Agriculture through Resolution 000331 of October 5th, 2017 duly published on October 20th, 2017, made the Department's distribution and the Municipal distribution and prioritization of the programmed resources of rural social interest housing for 2017, through which the construction of 31 new homes in the rural sector, for the island of San Andres, has been arranged. The Territorial Entity can only apply 3 times the number of households for the available subsidies. In this case, a total of 93 households that comply with the total requirements - documentation required for the application.

INTEGRAL ATTENTION AND REPRODUCTION TO VICTIMS POPULATION IN THE COUNTRY IS A PRIORITY, AND WE WORK IN CONNECTION WITH STATE ENTITIES TO ACHIEVE IT.        

•    Characterization is key to address the real needs of the victim population, allowing a more pertinent approach to the State's offer to achieve it in coordination between the nation and the territory to guarantee effective enjoyment of the rights of this population.
•    Those    that    are    registered    in    the    Sole    Registry    of    Victims    (RUV    –    for    its    Acronyms    in    Spanish)    can    come    by    with    their    document    in    hand,    and    with    a    copy    of    the    documents    of    those    who    make    up    the    family    nucleus.    
• This will take place on October 27th - 29th, at the premises of the Industrial Technical Institute with the support of the Unit for Integral Care and Reparation for Victims, the Secretariat of Social Development of the Departmental Government in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, headed by the Victims' Policy Articulation Group, and accompaniment of the Office of the Ombudsman and the Attorney General's Office.

•    We have delivered a large amount of medicines and supplies, and continue to cover the needs of the hospital.
•    We decided to change the current central air, for three plants that will also have as support 35 Split we are installing.

Governor Ronald Housni Jaller, made the decision to extend the follow-up and intervention committee, chosen to address the situation of the Clarence Lynd Newball Hospital. From now on, the Secretary of Infrastructure and the General Secretary will join with the Secretaries of Health and Government that were selected since last weekend.

As it was announced, the planned supply arrived at the Care Center, which is added to the medications that, since Saturday, have been delivered daily to improve the care of its users.

• Governor affirms that the service provider in charge of the Clarence Lynd Newball Hospital will comply with the contractual agreement.

 • The crisis caused by the shortage of supplies was solved today and on Sunday, more supplies will arrive to the island.

In response to the request and concerns of the general community, the Governor of the Department, Ronald Housni Jaller, is informing the community of the islands that the situation at the Clarence Lynd Newball Departmental Hospital was immediately attended. Through the Secretariat of Health, immediate and concrete actions are developing to normalize the situation and ensure the provision of services in conditions of quality and opportuneness.

As a result, to guarantee the operation of the hospital service, basic supplies have already been purchased and in the course of a few hours, there will arrive large supply of medicines and medical provisions to meet the total demand for services.
